Low Viscosity Paraffinic RPO Definition
Low Viscosity Paraffinic RPO has a very light colour and good light stability. It helps rapid ingredient dispersion during mixing operations. It improves resiliency, enhance extrudability and reduced heat built up. It is widely use in Butyl rubber manufacturing and compounding.
These RPOs are viscosity compliant with ASTM D-445. This category of hydrocarbons consists of multiple branched chains or combinations of molecules with direct binding to various viscosities. As the chain length increases, the desired rubber oil will also become viscous and thicker. In other words, it is more visceral. They are also compatible with butyl rubber. Paraffinic rubber oils with high flash point and high viscosity have a longer life cycle. Because furfural extract has a higher viscosity, paraffinic compounds are useful for maintaining post-aging properties. They are also highly recommended for higher pressure on the oil in conditions such as heat-resistant hoses and conveyors.
Low Viscosity Paraffinic RPO Applications
- Typically used in road marking thermoplastic.
- Tyre liner and tubes.
- Vibration dampers and bushing and elastomer (EPM, EPDM, IR, NR and SBR) compounding.
- Micron cell pages.
- Butyl tubes.
- Firefighting equipment.
- Gardening equipment.
- LPG.
- Pipes.
- Rubber surfaces tile.
- Vehicle tires.

STORAGE/HANDLING
RPO is stable in ambient conditions, non-corrosive and it can be stored in mild steel containers. The product is practically non-irritating to skin and eyes.
